Cindy Burson has decades of experience in the financial services industry, always approaching every situation with a client-first mentality. “If I’ve learned anything in this industry, it’s that relationships are more important than anything,” Cindy says. “By creating such close relationships with my clients, I truly understand their needs and what’s important to them. Then, I make decisions and recommendations with those factors in mind.”
Above all, Cindy values trust and confidence, and her actions are always driven by her desire to earn both. She also values work ethic, learning early that dedication to a cause she believes in can make a world of difference, no matter her goals or her duties. Immediately following high school, Cindy worked as the account payable representative with Standard Brands of Chicago. It sparked her love for finance, analysis and proper decision making on the behalf of others.
She continued her pursuit of a career in finance in college, even picking up a position as a full-charge bookkeeper. Now, she has seen many sides of the financial industry, even acting as secretary treasurer of her own business. Cindy sees her new position as a retirement strategist as a reinvention of herself, allowing her to kick off a new career and opportunity as she continues to explore the many facets of both finance and humanity.
Her goal as a federally and state-licensed retirement strategist is to help her clients reach financial security and independence. “I believe there’s no such thing as too many guaranteed income streams,” Cindy says. “With today’s level of inflation and market volatility, there’s no certainty, and securing sources of income for yourself can be the difference between a comfortable retirement lifestyle and outliving your funds.”
